I hope all is well and Happy New Year!
I’m writing to request permission to use the icon of ‘St Francis meeting the Sultan’ in a presentation for the Diocese of Westminster Education Service.
The presentation is part of a conference for teachers in Cathoilc schools where we will be looking at interface dialogue and encounter; thus your icon fits perfectly as it represents interaction and friendship between two different faiths which is the foundation of this branch of religious education we are delivering.
We would be asking teachers to discuss the importance of the picture and how it conveys the message, whihch would then lead on to further debate.
It would be great if we could use this icon and I look forward to hearing from you,
